The Zephyr Nassau Sunshine (ZNS) began as a small radio station with a powerful purpose: to inform, educate, and entertain the people of The Bahamas.
Originally launched to disseminate government information and connect the far-flung islands of the archipelago, ZNS quickly grew into a national institution and the country’s leading public broadcaster.
Over the decades, ZNS expanded its reach and capabilities, adding FM radio services and moving into television broadcasting with the debut of ZNS-TV13 in 1977. This historic moment brought Bahamian stories, news, and culture to screens nationwide, further solidifying ZNS’s role in shaping the national identity.
As The Bahamas evolved, so did ZNS. The network played a pivotal role in documenting the country’s political journey, cultural heritage, national celebrations, and moments of crisis. Whether covering elections, Junkanoo, or daily news, ZNS has remained a trusted voice in every Bahamian home.
Today, the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB), which operates the ZNS radio and television network, continues to serve the nation with a commitment to excellence in public service broadcasting. As we embrace the future, ZNS is stepping boldly into new spaces—expanding our presence in the digital landscape, reaching audiences in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and connecting with Bahamians and Caribbean communities around the world.

Time is extremely important. Those of us who value it, value solutions that allow us to preserve time while also doing those things we need to do like paying bills, sending money, paying insurance premiums and so on. The founders of MoneyMaxx having the same plight, sought to not only solve this issue for themselves but decided it a good idea to also share the fulfilment of tasking while enjoying time with family and friends or doing business with the world. One Eleuthera Foundation was formed in 2012 to protect our island from large-scale developments that would forever alter the pristine natural landscape, disrupt fragile marine and land ecosystems and further disempower our people by perpetuating the cycle of overdependency on foreign direct investment.
Our response was to unite and build a sustainable, equitable community development model, focused on the holistic well-being of those we serve. This model encompasses economic ownership, meaningful educational advancement, pathways to wellness, and environmentally sustainable communities centered around our island’s unique cultural identity.
We want to ensure that all Bahamians are participating, contributing, and benefiting from homegrown-driven commerce and a thriving economy while protecting our islands and heritage. We are united in building a sustainable, sound, and prosperous future for all.
